Second Hour Ministry Online Workshop...The “Second Hour Church” is just one of the many different religious education formats congregations are beginning to explore as they seek to become more intentionally multigenerational.

This workshop will review the steps involved in becoming a “Second Hour Church,” including ways to adapt the format of RE programs for all ages in order to enhance the purpose and mission of your congregation. Details & Registration 8/31/10

The Teacher Development Renaissance Module...has an emphasis on a small group ministry method of engaging and supporting Religious Education teachers in your congregations. The content for this module is based on the tremendous work of Parker Palmer, from his text, "The Courage to Teach."

UU LGBT Survey...During July 2010, Michigan UU Social Justice Network surveyed leaders from Michigan Unitarian Universalist congregations to learn their views about how they welcome and advocate for persons from LGBT communities. The survey will serve as a catalyst for launching statewide UU LGBT advocacy in Michigan. See full report

It comes disguised as law enforcement, as a firm hand protecting social order during chaotic times. On July 29, I engaged in civil disobedience in Phoenix as part of the Day of Non-Compliance protest against SB1070, Arizona's harsh anti-immigrant law.
